What is the “Life’s a Journey” club all about?

It is the brainchild of Fred Mac Donald, a qualified pilot with a National Private Pilots Licence (NPPL) working in the healthcare sector in Northern Ireland for the past 20 years. Of which 5 years in the NHS on the Urology/ENT elective surgical ward.

Over the years he has seen many cases of people struggling with the twists and turns their lives took over the years, even more so after a life-changing diagnosis of surgery.

Right now, mental health is still pretty much something that is not talked about and is usually avoided by society in general.

That idea of avoiding the issue needs to change. Mental health affects everyone in some way, shape or form during our lifetimes. The vision for the “Life’s a Journey Club” is to become a community where we can share stories of survival and coping mechanisms. A place where you can meet others in the same boat as yourself. Draw inspiration from others and be an inspiration to others…

From my side, I will share my unique way of dealing with my mental health issues…  Taking you flying!!

Let's start talking about mental health!
